Yellow Watchman Goby
July 29th, 2008
The Yellow Watchman Goby has variable color, but is usuallly yellow-orange body with bright blue spots on the head and fins. This coloration is one of several color phases of the species. They may be brown or brown-banded, still exhibiting their bright blue spots. Yellow Watchman Gobies require a sandy bottom and plenty of rockwork to hide in. They are generally peaceful toward other fish, but may not tolerate other Yellow Watchman Gobies. They will not harm invertebrates. Yellow Watchman Gobies may jump when startled, so they must be kept in a well covered aquarium. They do best on a diet of small frozen meaty foods like mysis shrimp, brine shrimp, and plankton.
